BENEFITS JOINING MALAYSIA OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION !

💡 MOTA is run entirely by volunteers - consists of OTs in full time jobs.

💡 To represent all OTs in Malaysia and help us negotiate for things like the regulations that govern us (Allied Health Act) and such.

💡When MOTA claims to represent us, it has to have the numbers to show for it.

💡Advise to maintain your MOTA membership regardless of whether  YOU are in the country to benefit from it. Every member counts.

💡 MOTA is the one that decides whether OT courses are eligible to be approved by WFOT (subject also to WFOT rules).Speaking from my personal experiences , I  know the consequences when an OT course is not WFOT approved -we can't partake in opportunities to further studies in OT courses with universities abroad for example.

💡 Being a member of MOTA gives us the chance to have a say in such things, the things that can influence our professional futures as OTs (the Allied Health Act is also one such example).

💡If you want more control over your professional future as an OT, it is worth being a MOTA member, and becoming active.
